Dogwood Hat (PDF)

This hat features a simple, repeating eyelet pattern that continues right up to the top of the hat, creating six panels somewhat reminiscent of the leaves of a dogwood tree. Worked in a light color, it can brighten up an autumn day, reminding the wearer that even though winter is on its way, spring is sure to follow!

Yarn: Malabrigo worsted, 1 skein “Lettuce”

Needles: set of five US 7 (4.5 mm) needles, double pointed (or size needed to obtain gauge)

Notions: tapestry needle

Gauge: 18 stitches, 24 rows for 4 inch (10.16 cm) x 4 inch (10.16 cm) block in stockinette stitch

Finished measurements: stretches up to 22 inches (49.25 cm) circumference, 7.75 inches (17.25 cm) tall
